Full-time Position

JamFactory is seeking an experienced and motivated Glass Studio Technician to join our team located in Adelaide, South Australia

The Glass Studio Technician will report to the Head of Glass Studio and liaise with all Glass staff, Leadership , Exhibitions, Marketing and Retail staff as well as the creative staff in the Metal, Ceramics and Furniture Studios.

The successful applicant will assist the Head of Glass Studio with the maintenance and technical operations of the Studio and will be in charge of the following tasks and duties:

·       Provide technical support for the Studio.
·       Manage maintenance and repair of all Studio equipment, including furnaces, hotshop, coldshop and workshop equipment.
·       Oversee procurement, fabrication, and replacement of Studio equipment as needed.
·       Maintain accurate maintenance records and budget oversight.
·       Ensure Studio equipment and facilities remain fully operational to support training, production, and hire services.
·       Monitor and maintain the furnace loading schedule.
·       Undertake general Studio maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
·       Research and develop new technologies for hot and cold glass areas.
·       Assist in forward planning for equipment maintenance, procurement, and capital expenditure.
·       Act in accordance with the identified values and principles of JamFactory.
